Recently, the use of renewable energy sources started to become more prevalent and attract more attention, especially in developed regions of the world. Additionally,  the newly implemented energy sources started to gain considerable popularity.

This new phenomenon is considered a safer option for the environment as it limits the harmful and toxic use of chemicals that have the potential to cause nefarious effects on the environment and threaten the safety of the ecosystem.

Lately, numerous companies have started to shift their attention to more eco-friendly sources of energy that do not pose any threat to nature, also known as renewable energy sources. This decision received positive feedback from environmentalists and organizations such as "Greenpeace.”.





The Prevalence And The  Impact Of Renewable Sources Of Energy On Planet Earth 





The term renewable sources refers to the use of energy that is not depleted when fully utilized, such as wind, water, heat of the earth (geothermal), sunlight, and many more. 


Drastic climate change over the past few years is thought to be the main motive behind the use of alternative, safer energy sources. Fortunately, a large number of companies have started to incorporate renewable energy sources into their operations. This initiative can have a beneficial effect on the environment.

 

According to recent statistics, more than 230 of the biggest companies in the world have started to adopt renewable energy sources. Based on IEA statistics (International Energy Agency), world renewable energy usage will reach more than 50% in the next 5 years.

 

Solar energy is one of the most important aspects of renewable energy sources. This invention is based on converting sunlight into energy. Lately, solar power implementation has reached more than 25% during the recent decade. This situation led to lower carbon emissions. 

Wind energy is generated by wind turbines that turn wind into mechanical power, which in turn turns into electricity.

Nations all over the globe are embracing and advocating the concept of renewable energy sources for their ability to limit and combat disastrous climate change effects and secure energy independence. China and India are heavily investing in renewable energy sources, and numerous countries have also started to adopt this new concept.

 

The remarkable rise in renewable energy usage is mainly attributed to the high cost of non-renewable energy sources. Consequently,  the use of renewable energy sources both benefits the environment and reduces costs significantly.



The new renewable energy revolution isn’t just an environmental necessity; it is also an economic opportunity. Renewable energy sources create jobs and drive innovations. It is estimated that renewable energy will provide more than 30 million jobs by 2030.
