The rise of populism truly presents an obstacle for NATO and the EU as it is rising at a rapid pace, over the world in the most powerful countries most notably in the European region and reshaping world politics.

The election of 2024 marked the unprecedented rise of the right wing surge, most notably in Europe, which will have drastic effects on the geopolitical landscape in the region and beyond.

Despite the several challenges posed by populist movements and far right politicians, NATO remains resilient against the extreme nationalist surge, as NATO members remain united against Russian aggression and terrorism as well as cyber security threats.


Furthermore the EU’s response to the Covid-19 pandemic has demonstrated and shed light on the importance of a coordinated and strategic approach to contain the health crisis and to protect individuals with proper effective management.


The financial strategy of the EU is aimed at helping member states during tough challenging times and supporting them in order to mitigate their economic hardships, which empowers and solidifies a sense of unity and cooperation.


Moreover the European Union engaged in many fruitful negotiations with populist countries aiming to reach a common ground and settle differences in order to maintain and protect unity and bilateral relations among member states.
